Account Login PageVisit https://portal.g12com.com/portal/ and login to your Account using your login name and pin (your login pin number is the same as your voice mail pin number).
Explore the Homepage
Recent MessagesView your last ten voice mail messages, delete, forward, or download the message. View caller’s name, number, and time of message.
Active Answering RulesDecide how and where your calls are routed. Click the “Answering Rules” tab to change settings and create new rules.
Active PhonesIndicates which device is active for your extension.
Recent CallsView the last ten inbound, outbound, and missed calls; view caller/called number, time, date, and duration of the call
Setting Up Your Voice Mail
1 – To modify your voice mail and add new recordings and messages, click on the “Messages” button on the primary menu.
2 – Click on the “Settings” tab.
3 – From the “Settings” menu, make sure that “Enable Voicemail” is checked.
4 – To record a new voicemail message/greeting, click on the “manage - ” button in the “Voicemail Greeting” row.
5 – In the “Manage Greeting” pop up, click on the “Add Greeting” button near the bottom to reveal the greeting upload options.
6 – To create a new greeting, either upload an audio file by clicking the “browse” button, or clicking the “record” button to have the system call a number or extension you specify to begin recording.
7 – Name your greeting and click upload to save your greeting and add it as an option.
Time Frames
Time frames allow you to set specific behavior depending on the time calls are received. For instance, you may have different rules during office hours than you would during the weekend.
1 – Click on the “Time Frames” button on the top menu bar.
2 – Click on “Add Time Frame”. Choose a name for the segment and set the days/hours that will be covered by this time frame.
3 – Click Save to implement and save the new time frame. You’ll now be able to apply this time frame to new rules in the “Answering Rules” section.
Adding New Answering Rules
Answering rules control how calls are received by your account and can be customized according to the time of day, your activity, and which devices you’d like to ring
1 – Click the “Answering Rules” button on the top menu bar.
2 – Click the red “Add Rule” button on the right side of the screen and fill out the pop up form that follows. • To create time frames, click on the time frame button on the top menu.
• Call forwarding allows you to add forwarding rules depending on the activity of your phone line and your response (or lack of response).
• Simultaneous ring makes sure that you’re alerted on all of your devices when an inbound call is received.
3 – Click save to implement and save the new rule.
